Local horse enthusiasts will be saddling up this weekend for the 10th Anniversary Trail Ride in Hepworth.
The event is held each year to raise money for the Bruce Peninsula Association for Community Living.
Executive Director Libbey Ipsen says they get a lot of support from local equestrian enthusiasts and have raised as much as $13,000 some years.
She says its their one big fundraising event of the year.
Money raised at the event goes towards building homes for developmentally challenged individuals as well as supporting families with activities or services that may fall through the cracks of government funding.
Ipsen says they just recently built a special apartment unit in Wiarton.
The Trail Ride takes place today at the Ross Trask Farm outside of Hepworth.
Those who don’t own a horse can bring a minimum of $25 in pledges to take a ride on a horse drawn wagon.
