Supervisor Mary-Ray Young says the ribbon cutting at the 6 hundred thousand dollar building takes place at 11:30 Saturday morning.
The open house runs from eleven until 1 in the afternoon.
The centre is located on one acre of land at the corner of Bruce and Bluewater Streets in Port Elgin and opened in January of this year.
It’s a satellite centre for the Owen Sound and Area Family YMCA.
Speeches from officials with Bruce County Social Services and the YMCA are a part of the day.
Young says the facility was built with kids in mind, everything is at their height and designed for them, and the playground is large.
She says there are some spaces available for kids, as they can accommodate 78 children.
There are twelve full time staff members and twenty seven part time members in total.
