Changes are happening at Georgian College in Owen Sound with a new Academic structure now in place.
Those changes include eight associate Dean positions; one of the new associate Deans is Donna Jansen.
In her role, Jansen will be the “go to person” for students and faculty, and will work with the community to continue building relationships with Georgian’s industry partners.
Jansen will be working closely with Dean Bob Emptage, who will divide his time between the Owen Sound, Barrie and Midland campuses.
Donna Jansen started teaching at Georgian College in 1988, spending 10 years the Barrie campus and the last ten in Owen Sound.
Most recently she was the program co-ordinator of the Police foundations program.
Jansen received an Award of Excellence from the Georgian Board of governors for “Teaching Innovation” in 2007.
She grew up on the Bruce Peninsula and now lives on a farm west of Meaford.
