Prime Minister Stephen Harper has officially called an election for October 14th and federal candidates in Huron-Bruce are ready to go.
Liberal Candidate Greg McClinchey says he’s been working on his campaign for the past of couple of years, but now it’s time to get serious.
He says he will be getting out to talk to as many people in the riding as he can.
McClinchey says their offices are open and ready to take calls, and his volunteers are a very strong group.
He says this is an exciting time for him, as it’s his first time running for the federal seat.
McClinchey says an election is a time when all political parties put forth their ideas on important issues and how to solve problems within the Country.
He says Paul Steckle, the current Liberal MP for Huron-Bruce, has made a huge impact on him over the last 15 years they’ve worked together.
McClinchey is running against Conservative Ben Lobb for Huron-Bruce’s seat in Parliament.
