The Federal Liberal Candidate for Huron-Bruce says he’s ready for an election.
Greg McClinchey says if Prime Minister Stephen Harper decides to call an election on tmoorrow then his campaign will be ready to go.
He says he doesn’t believe a campaign should start only when an election is called.
McClinchey says they’ve been in the community campaigning for the last two years, ever since he got the nod to become the official Liberal candidate for Huron-Bruce.
He says he’s proud to live in a community like Huron-Bruce and he has been involved in many local initiatives — as well as being a councillor in North Huron.
If McClinchey is elected to be the region’s MP, federal law says he must step down from his position as a councilor.
But, he says he’ll stay true to his roots and won’t abandon the people of North Huron in representing the region.
McClinchey says he’s got a good staff of volunteers to help him campaign and he’s excited to continue campaigning for his first shot at being Huron-Bruce’s Liberal MP.
