Municipal leaders will be gathering this week in Priceville.
The 2008 Warden’s Forum is taking place Thursday at the Stothart Hall.
Grey County Warden and West Grey Mayor Kevin Eccles says it gives the municipalities’ councillors a chance to be updated on what’s happening at the county level, and it allows them to share ideas and interact with county staff.
Eccles says they’ll talk about many of the same issues they have in past years, but this year he feels there will be more focus on how the county is coming along with its five year review plan.
He also expects there to be much discussion on changing the county’s governance.
They are currently reviewing the warden’s term, and if it should be extended to longer than two years.
The chair and the acting CEO of the South West Local Health Integration Network will also participate in the meeting to give councillors a better idea of what the LHIN does.
Eccles says the Warden’s Forum started a few years ago as an idea from the past warden, Bob Pringle.
It runs Thursday from 4PM to 9PM.
