Bruce Peninsula O-p-p along with the Tara-Arran Fire Department were called to the Highway 21 home at dinner time yesterday.
Officials say the fire appears to have started after a pot of grease was left unattended on the stove.
A 48 year old woman was taken to Saugeen Memorial Hospital in Southampton with minor flash burns.
However the house was completely engulfed in flames by the time emergency crews arrived on the scene.
The structure has already been knocked down because of safety concerns.
