A local organization has kicked off its major 2008 fundraising initiative.
Tickets are now available for the Participation Lodge “Lucky Lodge Lottery”.
Participation Lodge Special Events Co-ordinator Karen Kociuk says this is
the 23rd year for the draw.
First prize this year is a trailer, loaded with extras.
Other prizes include trips and furniture.
Money raised by the Lottery goes to enhancing the quality of life for the
residents of Participation Lodge, who have special needs.
Kociuk says the money raised provides extras for the Lodge’s clients, and
although other fundraisers are held throughout the year, the Lottery is
their largest.
Although there is no firm fundraising goal, Kociuk is hoping they raise
about $30,000.
Last year, over $27,000 was raised.
Tickets will be sold at various venues.
They are two dollars each, or three for five dollars.
