A report was delivered at last Tuesday’s council meeting in Teeswater.
Mayor Bill Goetz says Ainsworth Incorporated out of Toronto will do a preliminary study that will go through all municipally owned buildings and structures at no cost to the Municipality.
He says they will come back with a report on their findings and Council will decide whether it will proceed any further.
The audit will look at the Municipality’s energy bills over the past year and determine how they can cut their costs through upgrades and renovations.
Goetz says they want to make sure that they can get all the savings they can as the cost of energy is not getting any cheaper.
Saugeen Shores, Chatsworth, and Hanover have all had similar energy audits done for their municipal buildings.
