Two brand new doctors are now praticing in Saugeen Shores.
The husband/wife team of Dr. Kirk Hollohan and his wife Dr. Dierdre (DEED-rah) Brown set up their practices in early August at the new medical centre in north Port Elgin on Goderich Street.
Dr. Hollohan says they’re accepting new patients from the Saugeen Shores area.
He says patients need only to come into the offices at 786 Goderich Street, next to the Port Theatre, fill out a form and meet the doctors.
Dr. Hollohan says they are giving preference to those patients who do not have family physicians and to those who live in the immediate Saugeen Shores area.
He says they feel it only fair to begin their practices this way since the town has built the new centre.
The centre is pretty well completed on the inside but the outside still needs some work.
Besides the two new doctors from British Columbia, three other established doctors in the area have moved to the centre.
