Summerfolk in Owen Sound is more than just a music festival.
More than 40 artistic craft vendors lined the walkways of Summerfolk this weekend.
Paul Stewart, a potter from Toronto has been bringing his pottery to the musical festival for over 11 years.
Stewart says he enjoys bringing his work to summerfolk because of the combination of being able to make income and listen to the musicians.
He says his work has been popular over the past years at Summerfolk — he adds this year has been going well so far.
Stewart says most of his sales are made on Sunday.
The potter says people will usually browse his selection and then wait to make a purchase on the last day of the festival.
Michael Lehrman, a vendor who designs and makes contemporary gold and stirling silver jewellery, finds the same kind of trend with his sales.
Lehrman says in the four years he has been a vendor at Summerfolk, he makes about 80 per cent of his sales on Sunday afternoon.
He says most people at the festival don’t want to carry around their purchases all weekend while camping.
Lehrman says he enjoys coming back to Summerfolk because the people are pleasant, easy going and non demanding.
The craft vendors range from henna tattoos – to clothing – to hand carved wooden products and more.
