It is a successful Relay of Life event in Kincardine.
Over 36 teams participated in the 12-hour event outside the Davidson Centre for the Canadian Cancer Society.
It began last night at 7 P.M. and finished at 7 A.M. this morning.
Organizer Norrie Dickson says they managed to raise $80,000 for cancer research and community efforts.
Dickson says there were teams from Kincardine as well as teams from Port Elgin, Ripley, and Pine River participating in the event.
Dickson says participants came in all age ranges.
She says there were a lot of younger runners in this year’s event.
She says they generated lots of energy and kept everything going throughout the night.
There will be three other Relay for Life events happening in Owen Sound, Hanover, and Mildmay in September.
