The 37th Annual Competition Pow-Wow runs Saturday and Sunday at the James Mason Memorial Centre.
Chair of the Native Culture Committee Clint Roote says there will be Grand Entries on Saturday at 1 PM and 7 PM, and on Sunday at 1 PM.
Roote says everyone is welcome.
He says high calibre competitors will be coming from all over Canada and the U.S vying for first prize in various dance categories.
Highlighting the weekend will be a concert by country music singer Crystal Shawanda.
Tickets for the pow-wow are 8 dollars for adults. Children under six are admitted free. Senior’s tickets are 6 dollars.
As a courtesy, Roote is asking the public to not take pictures during the Grand Entries and to make sure their dogs are leashed.
The event is alcohol and drug-free.
