South Bruce OPP is investigating a two vehicle
collision that occurred at the intersection of Bruce County road 17 and the
20th side road of Arran Township at 2:30 this morning.
A 28 year old Allenford man, an occupant of a van has been taken to the
Grey Bruce Regional Health Center with serious life threatening injuries.
The five occupants of the car have been taken to area hospitals in Chesley
and Southampton.
Two are listed in serious condition but their injuries are not considered life threatening.
The other three have suffered minor injuries and are being treated at hospital.
Bruce County road 17 between the 15th and 25th side road and side road 20
are closed while OPP Traffic Collision investigators complete their
investigation.
The roads are expected to be closed for several hours.
Police say indications are that the van driver failed to stop at the intersection and struck the eastbound car.
South Bruce OPP has brought in a canine unit to assist as there was an
indication that there might have been another person in one of the vehicles.
The area around the collision is being searched.
