The opening ceremonies were held this morning to officially kick off the five day event.
Many dignitaries were in attendance including: Huron Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell, Bruce County Warden Milt McIver and Mayor Larry Kraemer.
Reunion Committee Chair Laura Haight says even though the held the opening ceremonies today, festivities really kicked off yesterday and says everyday is packed full of events for everyone.
Haight says they are expecting around 30 thousand people to take in the festivities.
Haight had nothing but praise for the many volunteers who made the event possible saying no one refused a request and were happy to help out.
Mayor Larry Kraemer says the reunion committee has done a great job in making one of the best weekends ever in the town.
One of the highlights is the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band Parade on Saturday night, who as well are celebrating their 100th anniversary.
Haight says the parade is the highlight for her and is hoping 15 thousand people will be marching behind the band.
