Your input into the future of Saugeen Shores is wanted.
Bruce County and Municipality of Saugeen Shores are looking to develop design guidelines.
Bruce County Deputy Director of Planning and Economic Director Bill Hollo (HOLLOW), says as part of the process, they want public input.
Hollo says the two tiersĀ of govermentĀ have been working on guidelines for months, and are moving into the consultation stage.
That is why there is a meeting tomorrow on the matter.
Hollo says as the community grows, they want to be able to have some control of how things look.
That being said, they don’t want to be the “taste police” or have everything look the same.
He says they would just like a general guideline for developers, when they come to town.
Those who take part in the workshop will be put into groups to come up with key ideas for the future of Saugeen Shores.
They will present their ideas when the workshop is finished.
The meeting is tomorrow at the Plex in Port Elgin, at 10am, lunch and refreshments provided.
Results from the work shop will be posted on the county’s website late next week.
