If you looking for a fun and adventure than look no further than Durham.
The Durham Conservation Area is buzzing with activity today as it hosts its second annual Summer Festival.
Event Organizer Shannon Wood calls it an event that caters to the entire family.
The afternoon includes a host of activities including vendors, craft making, a dunk tank, carnival games, children’s activities, wagon rides and a petting zoo.
One of the highlight of the day includes a special ‘Birds of Prey’ demonstration show at 1:30 PM and 3 PM.
There will also by live entertainment all day long by local artists including the Westernaires and Ron McManus and Friends..
Admission for the afternoon is $3.50 per adult and $2.00 per child.
The Summer Festival wraps up this evening with a dinner and dance. Admission is $16 for adults and $6 for children.
Anyone who purchases tickets for the evening meal and dance will receive free admission to the afternoon events.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the Durham Conservation Area’s Activity Centre.
