This year, instead of holding the event downtown organizers have partnered with Grey Roots Museum to hold the festival there.
Organizer Sarah Gibbons says they decided to do something different for their 10th anniversary and have changed the event to a Scottish Tattoo format.
She says not only will there be pipe bands from across the region but also several concert stages featuring local talent and highland dancers as well as artisans’ booths.
Gibbons says a recent survey suggests 85 percent of Grey Bruce residents have Scottish and Irish heritage and she hopes all of them will support this year’s event.
The Celtic Festival has been struggling to make money in recent years.
This year the federal government gave organizers 15 thousand dollars.
The Celtic Festival will be held Saturday September 13 from 10am to 10pm.
