At 60 years old, Gord Stevens says it is time to move on.
He has been running the tax department at city hall for over 22 years.
His title became “Manager of Revenue” about 10 years ago and he is also is charge of the water billing in the city.
Stevens says Owen Sound is now advertising for his replacement and applications are accepted until July 25th.
After that, the applications for Manager of Revenue in Owen Sound will be reviewed and interviews set up.
Stevens hopes someone is on the job by mid-September so there can be some training before he leaves the job September 30th.
