The newly accessible and renovated Lucknow library is now officially open.
The work has been complete for a while but a special ceremony was held last week with a number of dignitaries — including Huron Kinloss Mayor Mitch Twolan and Huron Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell.
The municipality used a $45,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to complete the work.
The project included the installation of a new accessible bathroom, a new automatic door and the expansion of library and work space.
Bruce County Library Director Marzio Apolloni reports they have seen a dramatic increase in the number of library visitors since the work was done.
