A local church is taking an extra step in honouring some of its parishioners.
The Elmwood-Brant Lutheran parish is holding special Military Services in honour of seven of its members.

Honoured at the service are: Captain Troy Leifso who is the Canadian Army serving in Afghanistan, Private Matthew Tuttle, who is currently stationed at the Meaford Tank Range, and Corporal Daniel Ahrens with the Grey and Simcoe Foresters in Owen Sound.

Captain Troy Leifso will speak about his experience in Afghanistan before returning to duty later this month.
A special offering will be taken for the Canadian Military Family Fund which supports the families of soldiers while on overseas duty, as well as those injured in action.
