Local art is on display at the Bruce Power Visitors Centre in Tiverton.
Art Show Coordinator Vicky Cooper says all fine art works are done by Bruce County Residents.
They are original paintings, and reflect rural life in the county, in honour of the 2008 International Plowing Match.
Cooper says the show is also a juried sale; 3 pieces have already been bought.
Cooper also says three winning entries are now property of the County.
They will become a part of the County’s Art Collection, and hang in various county buildings; like the administration offices in Walkerton.
The art is in the visitors centre, because the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre, who took over the show from the county, doesn’t have the room, due to all of its travelling exhibits.
The art will be on display and for sale until August 20th.
First prize went to Lynn Soulier of Lion’s Head for “Escarpment Spirit.”
Second prize went to Christa Eggers of Southampton for “Ferndale Flats Farm.”
Third prize went to Valerie KurckĀ of Wiarton for a winter scene of the Bruce Trail.
