Women rule the roads and waterways in Kincardine this weekend!
The 8th Annual Kincardine Women’s Triathalon is taking place tomorrow at 9am.
Director of the event, Laura Trepanier says 300 women, aged 14 and over are taking part in the event which starts at Station Beach.
It features a 350 metre swim, 12 kilometre bike ride and 3 kilometre run.
Trepanier says a duathalon and a relay are also a part of the annual event.
Trepanier says once costs are covered, money raised benefits the Ontario March of Dimes, Assistive Devices Program.
The money stays in the Kincardine area.
Trepanier says to date, they have helped raise $40,000, which is matched each time by March of Dimes.
Huron Terrace Road, the Shore Road, and the one way street off of Goderich all in Kincardine will be closed from 9 til 11 because of the event.
