The race to open the city’s newest drug store apparently will be won by the Rexall group.
Their new Pharma Plus store on Owen Sound’s east side at the top of the 10th St Hill is set to open its doors on Friday July 25th.
Company officials say the official opening of the store will be marked by a corporate contribution to a local health care organziation.
Meanwhile, construction of the new Shoppers Drug Mart Store at the corner of 10 St. West and 1st Ave West continues as well.
Company officials say that facility should be open to the public by mid August.
Shoppers plans to close its other downtown store on 2nd Ave East while Rexall will keep its Pharma Plus location in the downtown open.
