It appears the new Rexall Pharma Plus drug store on Owen Sound’s east side is now open.
We told you this morning the official opening is slated for Friday July 25th — but the store at the top of the 10th Street East hill opened for the first time this morning.
Rexall officials also tell Bayshore Broadcasting News the official opening will be marked by a corporate contribution to a local health care organziation.
Meanwhile, construction of the new Shoppers Drug Mart Store at the corner of 10 Street West and 1st Avenue West continues as well.
Company officials say that facility should be open to the public by mid-August.
Shoppers Drug Mart plans to close its other downtown store on 2nd Avenue East while Rexall will keep its Pharma Plus location in the downtown open.
