Striking office and clerical workers with the Grey Bruce health unit are one step closer to heading back to work.
OPSEU spokesperson Linda Owens says the membership voted overwhelmingly this morning in favour of the tenative agreement reached early yesterday.
The tenative deal followed more than 15 hours of non-stop negotiating.
The vote was 82% in favour.
Owens says the next step is to wait for the Board of Health to hold it’s ratification vote on Monday morning.
It’s a 3 year agreement, retroactive to November 1st of last year.
If it passes, the workers will be back on the job next Thursday.
The 27 OPSEU members have been on strike since May 1st in Owen Sound and Walkerton.
