According to Steelback Brewery CEO Jonathon Sherman, the Steelback brand is being welcomed back by beer drinkers locally, and in the province.
On Soundingboard recently Sherman says since their re-launch dates in May, the response has been very encouraging.
Sherman says they’re hopeful everything is going to work out OK and to date, that’s exactly what’s happening.
The Sherman family took over former owner/operator Frank D’Angelo and have headed in another direction.
Sherman says they will maintain their micro-brewery status and provide the best product they can representing Bruce County.
He says they’ve gone back to their roots and gaining one customer at a time rather than the glitzy splash the brewery tried to portray prior to the new owners.
At the Tiverton facility, the beer is produced by 30-full time employees.
However, bottling takes place at an undisclosed spot.
Sherman hopes to have bottling capability at the Tiverton plant in the near future.
