It will be a day-long Canada Day celebration in Kincardine.
Festivities get underway at 11 this morningĀ with a parade starting at the Legion, then travelling along Queen Street, and down Harbour Street to the big flag.
The parade will feature members of the Kincardine Legion, Scouts and Air Cadets, and of course, the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band.
There will be a ceremony at the big flag at 11:30 with speeches, poems, award presentations, the raising of the flag, and the singing of “O Canada.”
Family activities highlight the afternoon at Tiny Tot Park from noon until 3 P.M..
There will be a penny carnival, food vendors, Blinky, and “The Paws Cause” display.
Entertainment will be provided by the 10 O’clock Band from noon to 12:45, followed by Dickie Bird and a children’s entertainer from 1 to 1:45, and Frazzie the Clown from 1:45 to 2:15.
There will also be the serving of the Canada Day cake at noon and a Kincardine Reunion Scavenger Hunt at 1 P.M.
The day will be capped off with a fireworks display off the pier at the Harbour starting at dusk.
In Southampton, it will be a busy afternoon with activities and treats from various booths.
The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce fireworks display will start at dusk from Dominion Point.
