Grey Roots Museum & Archives newest attraction is now open to the public.
Grey Roots held a special ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday to mark the opening of the Moreston Heritage Village.
Grey Roots Heritage Interpretation Co-ordinator Petal Furness says the village takes a look back at pioneer hertiage.
Furness says the village features 6 heritage buildings: the Log Cabin, the Blacksmith Shop, the Log House, the Bluewater Garage, the farm house and the school house.
The school house and blacksmith shop are still being built and are not open yet.
Furness says also in each building will be many well-trained, costumed volunteers to present pioneer demonstrations.
Furness says for many years they have heard from many residents to open up again the heritage village and they are now making that a reality.
Visitors to Moreston can either choose to check out the village at their own pace or take one of three daily tours starting at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
Admission to the heritage village is included with regular admission to Grey Roots.
