There is finally a leader in place at the Women’s Centre Grey and Bruce Inc.
Patty Kelly has filled the role of Executive Director, something the organization has been running without for a few years.
Kelly has spent the past five years as the Executive Director at the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre, and says she’s been looking to move to the Grey-Bruce region for some time, to join her family here.
Kelly brings a lot of experience to the job – having worked as an executive director for 17 years.
She’s specifically been in the field of working with women and addictions for the past five years.
Kelly says she’s passionate about the work she does, and she’s excited to familiarize herself with the community.
She says she steps into a pretty-well run organization.
Even though the centre hasn’t had an executive director for the past few years, Kelly says they did work with an amazing consultant, and everyone on the board is qualified and hard workers.
Kelly took over the position this past Monday.
