Fourty-four artists, 29 studios and kilometers of pleasant driving.
It’s what makes up the 12th annual Shoreline Artists Studio Tour, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
On Soundingboard yesterday Organizer Barbara Anne Bingham says this year’s edition of the event is the biggest ever.
Artists of all types join with their colleagues to present their work in a studio setting in communities such as Port Elgin, Southampton, Sauble Beach, Alvanley, Chesley Lake and Ripley.
Bingham says the event is one of the few chances the artists get to show their work or to sell it.
She says this year there is an increase in first-time participants so the type of work displayed will be more varied.
Works of art in iron, pottery, jewellery, painting, photography and so much more will be on display.
Bingham says there are booklets available with thumbnail descriptions of the artists, along with maps pinpointed the various studios.
She urges visitors to pick up their booklet on Saturday or Sunday at one of the studios which will be sufficiently marked with a yellow sign throughout the weekend.
The tour is free and goes rain or shine.
