The public health nurses — who are members of the Ontario Nurses’ Association –
have been without a contract since December 31st.
Wages and benefits are the main issues.
Union spokesperson Sandy Rennick says the conciliation session is set for late July at the Inn on the Bay in Owen Sound.
The union claims public health nurses in Grey Bruce are in the bottom one third in every aspect of contracts.
Public health nurses provide a range of services — including health education and promotion, outbreak protection and provide sexual health clinics.
