An Owen Sound woman is happy the owner of the restaurant who sent her home has issued a statement.
Stacey Fearnall is happy her former boss has released a statement and she hopes it will put an end to the story.
Fearnall issued a brief statement herself yesterday after Nathaniel’s restaurant owner Dan Hilliard issued an apology to her, the Canadian Cancer Society and the public.
Fearnall says she’s tired and just wants the whole issue to go away.
Fearnall adds she has no interest in returning to work at the downtown eatery.
Nathaniel’s made National headlines last week when Hilliard offered Fearnall the summer off after she shaved her head for Cops for Cancer.
Fearnall raised 27 hundred dollars for cancer research by shaving her red hair — and she refused to wear a wig at work.
Fearnall says the good thing about the story is she has raised an additional two thousand dollars in donations for cancer research.
Hilliard says the public outcry after the story broke has been devastating for all involved and has upset his staff.
The restaurant remained closed on Monday.
