Add another Tim Horton’s franchise to the Harshman stable.
Marty and Louise Harshman own and operate the Southampton outlet and about five weeks ago, became the franchise owners of the outlet in Port Elgin on Gustavus Street.
For the past while, the Port Elgin store had been run corporately until a deal was finalized in late April.
Marty Harshman says they just opened the Southampton franchise last fall and were prepared to concentrate on that only.
However the opportunity came along to bring both franchises in Saugeen Shores under one roof.
Harshman says the Port Elgin outlet is established in the market so there was less work to do as far as preparation goes.
He says they plan on adding more staff to the Port Elgin store.
Harshman says he and his wife have found the two Saugeen Shores outlets are very different.
The one in Port is more of what he calls a “city store,” where its customer grab and go, whereas in Southampton its become more of a restaurant style outlet where people will come in and stay and eat.
Harshman says their happy with both franchises and the staffs that are running them.
