Accused triple murderer Jesse Imeson has yet another, new lawyer.
London lawyer Donald Crawford has been retained to represent Imeson, who is charged with first-degree murder in the slayings last summer of an elderly South Huron farm couple, Bill and Helene Regier and a 26 year old Windsor-area man Carlos Rivera.
At Imeson’s last court appearance in May, he confirmed he had parted ways with Toronto lawyer Raymond Boggs.
Boggs was the third lawyer to handle the case, and Crawford is now the 4th to work with Imeson.
22 year old Jesse Imeson has elected trial-by-jury on the charges stemming from the Regiers’ deaths, and has a preliminary hearing set for December 8th in Goderich.
A preliminary hearing for the Rivera charge will follow the Regier hearing.
Crawford said at that point, he would decide whether to seek a change in location for the trials.
Imeson has been held at the London-Middlesex Detention Centre since his capture in western Quebec last summer which ended a lengthy police manhunt.
