Taking university continuing education courses in Saugeen Shores could be on shaky ground.
The Lake Huron Learning Collaborative is holding its annual general meeting at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre tonight and the future of university courses will be on the agenda.
Board member Don Brough says last year an archaeology course was held in the municipality but he says the University of Western Ontario is not getting much interest for future courses here.
On the other hand, the Goderich area had three courses last year and could have as many again this year.
Brough says the courses can be varied and don’t have to be credit courses.
However, the interest has to be shown or the program will not go forward.
He says everyone is welcome to attend tonight’s meeting with their ideas.
They’re also looking for volunteers to serve on committees that might go out into Bruce County to find out if there’s any interest at all.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 7 at the Bruce County Museum.
