Kincardine council is recommending the renewal of an agreement with the Lake Huron Fishing Club.
It’s to continue leasing property from the municipality for the home of the Fish Hatchery.
The agreement follows one entered into in 1992 for 15 years.
This term would run another 15 years until April 30, 2023.
Mayor Larry Kraemer says council will move forward and complete the agreement.
He says in the past both parties have been satisfied with the agreement and have
communicated well; he expects that relationship to continue in the future.
Kraemer says the only item up for discussion when they give it final approval is the request of the Club paying one dollar instead of 2 each year of the agreement for rent.
