Long weekend fireworks!
They are taking place tonight at dusk at the Saugeen Amphitheatre on Highway 21 at Saugeen First Nation.
Captain of the Saugeen First Nation Fire Department Clinton Root says those 5 and under get in for free, it’s $5 a person after that, and families can get in for $20.
Part proceeds benefit the fire department’s equipment needs.
Root says things like a defibrillator are needed.
Root says entertainment will be offered before the fireworks, along with a BBQ.
Local Sabrina Ritchie took part in the recent Owen Sound Idol contest, and placed third.
She will be performing as part of the festivities.
The cost to run the half hour show is about $12,000.
May 19th is the rain date.
