There are plans to construct at band shell at Grey Roots.
Grey County’s planning and community development committee feel the band shell is an integral part of a typical rural Grey County town and will enhance the Grey Roots heritage village.
The band shell will also provide opportunities for interpretation and community use.
The band shell is expected to cost about $25,000 to construct.
County staff are currently working on a grant application through Farm Credit Corporation to cover a portion of the band shell costs.
If the grant is not approved, the project will be deferred to another year.
