The 23rd annual Fish Kincardine Derby is here.
It officially begins at 12:01am Friday, May 16th and then continues until Sunday, May 25th.
Spokesperson Randy Duffie says the event not only challenges your fishing skills, but your dancing and eating skills as well with plenty of entertainment and food.
Again there will be Ladies, Kids and Seniors day events.
Duffie says he’s heard the trout and salmon are bigger this year and he expects some interesting weigh-ins during the derby.
He says they expect over 600 participants this year.
Last year they had just under 500.
All proceeds from the derby will be used for fish conservation through the Lake Huron Fishing Club and Fish Hatchery.
