The Kincardine Legion is hoping one more election meeting will be the difference.
Recently, all nominees for president of the Legion, declined the role.
Current President Red Larson, says if no one takes the position, the Legion will have to fold.
He says another meeting is being held tonight.
Larson says now, with the reality of the legion closing, he feels someone will step up.
His term as President ends May 31st.
A new on, who has served at least one year on the executive in their lifetime, has to be in place by June 1st.
If one is not, a managers board is nominated by Ontario Command.
That board would ultimately close the legion, disposing of the assests.
Larson says almost all assets would go to Ontario Command, and very few would actually stay in Kincardine.
Larson says it would be devastating to lose a pillar in the community, that raises money for things like Air cadets, and other local charities.
The final nomination meeting is tonight at 7:30 at the Legion Hall.
