A 16 year old male from Sauble Beach has admitted to the damage recently on Chantry Island.
Saugeen Shores police, in a news release, say the unidentified teen is being dealt with through provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
On April 24th, the Marine Heritage Committee reported to the damage, just days after three individuals were reported on the island.
According to an earlier police news release, a tool shed had been broken into while a pick axe was used to damage several buildings on the island.
The 16 year old will be providing community service to the Marine Heritage Society.
