Bruce Power in Tiverton has made it’s second installment in a series of planned donations to the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey.
Spokesperson Steve Cannon says they have donated another 1 hundred thousand dollars.
A total of 4 hundred thousand dollars has been pledged over four years with the first installment coming last year.
Cannon says the money goes towards second stage housing.
Transitional housing is being built in Port Elgin, Kincardine, Wiarton and Brockton.
It is meant to help women who were victims of violence and other abuse issues and establish themselves back in to the community.
Cannon says Bruce Power is committed to helping where they can in the communities surrounding it.
He says it’s unfortunate a place like the Women’s House has to exist, but as long as it does, they feel their donation to help those who need it will go a long way.
Construction is expected to get underway first and soon in Port Elgin.
