The Saugeen Shores Hall of Fame is getting ready to welcome three new members.
Tonight the induction ceremony will take place at the Rotary Hall at the Plex.
On Soundingboard last week Hall of Fame slection committee member Rob Dunlop says the three are: Special Olympics athlete Sheila Lawrie; international wheelchair ahtlete Josh Cassidy and musician and one of the founders of the Port Elgin Big Band Celebration Wayne McGrath.
The evening also includes a wine and cheese and a silent auction.
Special speaker for the evening is Graham Snyder of Elmira, father of the late Dan Snyder, who career in the National Hockey League was cut short when he was tragically killed in a car crash in 2003.
Graham is the spokesperson for the Dan Snyder Foundation which raises funds to provide scholarship opportunities to young athletes in the pursuit of their goals.
Dunlop says tickets will be available at the door and cost $15.
Dunlop says there has been a lot of news recently about the mould at the Plex however the Rotary Room will be open for the event.
Doors open at 7pm.
Soundingboard host John Divinski of 98 the Beach is the Master of Ceremonies for the evening.
