Taxes in Huron Kinloss area increasing by 3.83 per cent.
Council adopted the just over 9.9 million dollar 2008 budget this week.
The municipalities increase is seven per cent, but falls to 3.83 when county and education levies are factored in.
For the average home assessed at two hundred thousand dollars, this means an increase of just under 98 dollars. ($97.89)
Just over 4.03 million of the budget is set aside for capital projects, the balance for operating expenditures.
Under the public works department, the largest spending falls under paving at just under 1.69 million dollars, while 440 thousand dollars will be spent on storm drains, sidewalks, hydro and paved parking.
After revenues are applied, 3.3 million must be raised in taxes.
