The Town of South Bruce Peninsula has terminated the current Manager of Emergency services.
As part of his responsibility, Terry Hutchinson was the Fire Chief in the town.
His job was terminated yesterday, without cause according to the CAO for Town of South Bruce Peninsula, Malcolm McIntosh.
McIntosh says the decision was made by council recently.
Hutchinson held the job as Fire Chief and manager of Emergency services for approximately three years.
Prior to that he was the Assitant to the Fire Chief for about a year and a half.
For now, McIntosh says the Station Chiefs of the fire department, and the Assitant Fire Chief, will handle the responsiblities of Chief Hutchinson.
The CAO says the issue of whether to hire a replacement could come to council later this month.
Town of South Bruce Peninsula council meets next Monday and on May 26th.
