There should be a new Chief Executive Officer of Bruce Telecom in place by the end of the summer.
Chair of the Board, Richard Martin says in the interim, the board has every confidence in acting General Manager, and current Chief Financial Officer, Bill Sipprell.
Martin says Sipprell has no interest in taking on the position on a full time capacity.
The board has retained professional help from a human resources consulting firm to find a replacement for Hans Nilsson, who announced his retirement last week effective April 30th.
Martin says the group called LSM will suggest to the board what the proper criteria are be for the best person to fill Nilsson’s shoes.
Martin says they will then look across the country for the next CEO.
He says that is not to say the best person, is not right at Bruce Telecom right now.
Martin says they simply want open the job opportunity up across Canada.
Martin says it will take 3 to 4 months to complete the process and hire someone.
