Grey Bruce Health Services is celebrating its healthcare innovations. CEO Pat Campbell says GBHS will have six exhibits on display at the annual Health Care Innovations Expo in Toronto today. Campbell says they want to share some of the successes they’ve had locally. She adds they would also like to come home with some innovative ideas from the other hospitals as well. One exhibit will include Grey Bruce Health Services’ roaming endoscopy program, which provides access to colonoscopy service at the rural hospitals. Campbell says the number of scope procedures done in the smaller hospitals has increased by 59 percent. Grey Bruce Health Services will also feature its success in interfacing doctor’s office software to receive hospital patient test results and its recent improvements in data quality. Campbell says the expo is a learning and sharing experience for the hospitals across the province.
