New funding is available through a program the Ministry Of the Environment for landowners living near municipal wellheads.
Steacy Cook is an Outreach Specialist with the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority.
She says this new funding, along with a new Source Protection Program will be discusssed at a meeting tonight (MON) in Tiverton.
Cook says funding is available until September for those who upgrade or decommisioning old or existing wells.
She says there is also funding when it comes to septic systems, upgrades for them, run-off erosion and polution prevention.
Cook says the funding varies for each case; the methods will be discussed tonight.
Cook says this is the first in a series of ten meetings being held by the Authroity across its watershed.
It’s being held at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre from 7pm to 9 pm.
