Over 130 businesses will pack the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound this weekend.
Event co-ordinator Doug Cleverley says it’s the biggest expo of its kind in Mid-Western Ontario.
Cleverley believes the show is so successful and able to grow every year because of the hard work the co-ordinating team does, and the partnerships they’ve built over the years.
He says each year they try to keep it fresh by adding a new feature.
This year, they’ll explore green energy, and he says the main display is the home energy showcase.
Cleverley says it’ll focus on saving money and energy in the home, and highlight energy efficient heating and cooling options, as well as a biodiesel display.
There are over 130 exhibitors this year, and Cleverley says they were able to pack the entire main floor of the Bayshore, and the south parking lot.
He says they’ve also moved the Tech Expo downstairs, so that everything is on the main floor this year.
The expo is put on each year by the City of Owen Sound, Grey Bruce Home Builders & Trades Association, and the Knights of Columbus, and all the funds raised go back to these organizations..
Admission is four dollars for anyone over 12, and that includes access to all the areas, as well as ballots for two different contests.
Doors are open from 10 until 5 each day.
